今週２度目のビルギル先生からの宿題は「茶道」についてです。「茶道」は日本に住んでいても日常的には体験することの少ない世界ですね。ビルギル先生はどのような感想を持たれたのでしょうか。２０２０年には東京オリンピックが開催されますし、これからもどんどん海外からの旅行者は増えることでしょう。みなさんは何か１つでも日本の伝統文化を英語で紹介することはできますか。ビルギル先生の英文から表現をたくさん学んで下さい。そして、市岡中学校にも茶道部があります。是非、文化祭などで茶道を体験してみて下さい。

Japanese traditional culture is very peaceful.
Yesterday I participated in a tea ceremony. It was really
interesting. Everything looked so graceful and stylish. The tea maker really
knew how to mix the tea professionally. I didn’t know what to say or do,
but the students helped me out.
I ate beautiful candy and sat in the “seiza” position for what felt like
hours (but was actually just a few minutes). Afterwards my feet hurt a lot,
but I had fun, so it was alright.
