２年生のカルタ大会が、１２月２４日に体育館にて行われました。
柔道畳を講堂から体育館に運んできて、生徒手作りの「ことわざカルタ」を使用しました。
各クラスを１班２〜４人の１２班に分け、取り札の合計の数をクラス対抗で競います。
正座をし、手をひざの上にそろえてスタンバイ。
太鼓の合図で読み手がことわざを読み始めると、札をとりあいます。

最初はざわついていましたが、競技が進むと集中力も高まり、しんと静まりかえるように。太鼓の音ともに札をとる時の畳をたたく音が響きわたりました。正座状態から飛び込むように身を乗り出す生徒もいました。また同士討ちのようなケースもあり、白熱したカルタ大会となりました。グループによっては、１００枚のうち８０数枚取ったグループもあったようです。改めて生徒たちのパワーと集中力を感じるカルタ大会となりました。

　大阪市教育委員会では、平成２５年４月２４日（水）に３年生を対象に実施しました「全国学力・学習状況調査」について、各校で調査結果の分析を行い、これまでの成果や今後の取組むべき課題を明らかにし、公表していくものとしています。
本校でも大阪市教育委員会の方針により、結果等の公表をいたします。本日、３年生の保護者の皆様へプリントを配布しましたが、詳細は本校ホームページの、

　なお、本調査により測定できるのは、学力の特定の一部分であり、学校における教育活動の意側面にすぎません。本校では、他の教科を含め、総合的に子供の学力向上を目指しています。学校の現状や取組の参考にしていただきたいと思います。
　

１２月１０日〜１３日まで進路に向けて３年生の校長面談を実施しました。

今年も好文学園女子高校から面接官として来てくださっています。生徒たちはふだん見せない緊張の面持ちで、ひとりひとり自分の意見や将来の希望を伝えていました。

自分の考えていることを相手に分かってもらうにはどうしたらよいか。これからの進路に向けていい機会になりました。

Hello, everyone!

Last week, I typed a bit about the town I used to live in called Ikuno. Today, I will talk about one of the more recent popular attractions in the city that Ikuno is part of - the Takeda Castle Ruins in Asago. It is on a mountain and it overlooks the city. The actual castle was burned down a long time ago, and only the rock walls and ground remain.

The Takeda Castle Ruins have gained more coverage in news and tourist advertisements over the years. Ever since a movie that was filmed not too long ago and featured the remains, more and more visitors have come from all around Japan to see the place. Many visitors try to arrive early in hopes to seeing the clouds form around the ruins and experience being in a "Castle in the Sky". New shops and restaurants have been built nearby in hopes of boosting tourism within the the city.

However, the city is starting to be more cautious with the increased number of visitors. The grounds of the ruins are starting to lose strength and the city and conservationists fear that the grounds may crumble if nothing is done to take care of the area.

I have visited the castle ruins a couple of times before it became really popular, and it is really cool to see the farmlands, hills, and towns that the area overlooks. Hopefully, the city is able to create a solid plan to preserve the grounds for people to visit and enjoy for many years to come.

Hey, everyone!

This week, I will tell you briefly about the place I used to live in Japan. Before I moved to Osaka over two years ago, I lived in a town called Ikuno for five years. It's in the city of Asago in Hyogo Prefecture. It's just over an hour north of Himeji, and you can take the JR Bantan Train Line to reach Ikuno.

It is a small, quiet town where the Ichi River flows through. However, the people in the community are friendly and wonderful! Its most well-known local attraction is Ikuno Ginzan, or silver mine. Silver was extracted from the mine until the later half of the 1900's. Now, tourists can go through the mine and learn about its history. Also, the town's local dish is hayashi rice, which is a tomato-based stew with beef and vegetables.

I hope I can make another return trip soon!
