Today I gave my self introduction lesson to the 2nd graders. I gave them a quiz of 10 questions and they worked together in pairs to guess the answers. The questions were about me, such as what country am I from, what are my hobbies, what sport do I play, and so on. After the quiz I showed them a PowerPoint presentation where they would learn the answers to the quiz.
Throughout the presentation I encouraged the students to practice speaking together. For example, after telling them about my sport, I had them make pairs and ask each other, “What sport do you play?” Then I would ask the class to tell me their answers. Many students raised their hands and participated well.
今日は2年生に自己紹介の授業をしました。10問のクイズを出し、2人1組で答えを当てました。質問は、私の出身国や趣味、スポーツなど、私に関するものでした。クイズの後は、クイズの答えがわかるパワーポイントのプレゼンテーションを見せました。プレゼンテーションの間、私は生徒たちに、一緒に話す練習をするように勧めました。例えば、私のスポーツについて話した後、ペアを作って "What sport do you play? "とお互いに尋ねさせました。そして、クラスのみんなにその答えを教えてもらったです。多くの生徒が手を挙げ、よく参加してくれました。

今日の授業はスパイダー討論という形で社会の授業を掘り下げていっています。自分の意見や考え方を言葉で表し、相手に、みんなに伝えることができるのか。２０人が討論し、学びを深めていきたいのですがなかなか難しい。人数が多すぎるのか、年齢が浅すぎるのか、性質なのか、活発な討論なるまで試行錯誤が続きます。
