I think it is interesting that people use hanko in Japan. In the USA people sign their names with a pen on important papers, but in Japan people use hanko instead. I like using my hanko in Japan because it is faster and easier than writing my name. My handwriting is not very good, so it can be difficult to read my name when I sign it. My hank is much easier to read. The only problem with a hanko is that it can get lost, stolen, or you can forget it at home. You can’t lose your name if you sign with a pen, unless you forget what your name is!
