I am often asked if I like the Hanshin Tigers. I always answer “I don’t like them.” The truth is that it is a joke. I am not very interested in sports but I do like the Hanshin Tigers. The reason I say “I don’t like them” is related to trains. Every day I pass through Koshien Station on the way home, because I live in Kobe. On days when there are Hanshin Tigers games the train is very crowded. I can’t sit in a seat. I like to sit down when I ride the train so it is a little irritating. I always think “This is the Hanshin Tiger’s fault!” I think it is funny because it is not really the Hanshin Tiger’s fault.
