桜の植樹!
高さ２ｍ余りの桜の木を正門に面した敷地内に５本植えました。
今年度、創立７０周年を記念しての植樹です。学校長の意向もあり実現にこぎ着けました。地面が固く、また桜の木自身もデリケートなため植木職人の方にお願いしました。 まだまだ幼木ですが、来年の春には美しい花を咲かせるそうです。楽しみです。 
本番まであと4日!
５・６限の時間を利用して、運動会全体練習をおこないました。
運動会を迎えるに当たっての心構えをしっかり聞いた後、開会式の入場行進です。 合図とともに地響きのような足踏みと「イッチニ〜、イッチニ〜!」と空気を切り裂くような大声で、どのクラスも気合いが十分に伝わってきます。 当日が楽しみです。ぜひ入場行進からご覧ください。 今年は、東中川小学校と小路小学校の６年生も開会式から観に来ます。 
ランチュウ(金魚の一品種)
地域にお住いの方からランチュウの幼魚を４０匹程いただきました。
この方は毎年ランチュウの品評会に向けて、たくさん孵化させて成魚に育てています。 その成長過程の幼魚を届けてくださいました。 まだ色も黒く小さいですが、これから徐々に鮮やかな朱色になり、ランチュウ特有の頭部に肉瘤の隆起などがはっきりしてくることでしょう! お立ち寄りの際は是非ご覧ください。

How’s it going, everyone? Are you having a good week? Has anything exciting happened? Last week was very busy for me. My mother and my younger sister came to Osaka to visit me. We went to Nara on Thursday to go sightseeing. On the way to Nara we met many elementary school students on the Kintetsu-Nara train. They were going to Nara for a field trip. In Nara, we went to Kofuku-ji first, and then we went to Todai-ji. Both were very beautiful temples. At Todai-ji, we saw the big Buddha and struggled through the pillar with a hole in it. Have you ever done that? When I climbed through many people clapped because they thought I was too big and couldn’t do it. Next we walked to Kasuga-taisha. The forest was very quiet and relaxing and the shrine was very interesting. Last we fed the deer in Nara park. I got one deer to stand on two legs. Another deer bit my sister! She was ok, but she didn’t like the deer. Overall it was a very fun trip. Questions: 1. Climbing through the hole in Todai-ji gives one year of good luck. Do you know any other luck challenges? 2.
