　Yesterday was the Bon Festival. I have been told that the Bon Festival is when the spirits of the dead come back to visit. We don’t celebrate the Bon Festival in America, but there is a holiday in America that is like it. Halloween! A long time ago people in Ireland believed that the spirits of the dead would come back in October. However, some of the spirits were bad, so people would wear costumes to hide from them. I don’t think people in America believe that spirits come back now, but they still wear costumes for fun. They also eat a lot of candy. Do people eat candy for the Bon festival?
