6年生は、学校薬剤師さんからお薬の飲み方について教えていただきました。飲み合わせや量など、お薬は正しい服用の仕方をしないと、危険であるということを学びました。

ポトフ、カレーソテー、いよかん

ポトフは、ウィキペディアによると、フランスの家庭料理の一つで、鍋に塊のままの牛肉、野菜類に香辛料を入れて長時間煮込んだものです。フランス語でpotは鍋や壺、feuは火を示すため、「火にかけた鍋」といった意味になるそうです。

本日はウインナーや野菜、牛肉の入ったポトフが出ました。牛肉は歯ごたえがあり、ウインナーや野菜がたくさん入っていました。
ごちそうさまでした。

Pot-au-feu, curry saute, iyokan

According to Wikipedia, pot-au-feu is a French home-cooking dish in which chunks of beef and vegetables are simmered in a pot with spices for a long time. In French, pot means pot or jar, and feu means fire, so the word means "pot on fire."

Today, we had pot-au-feu with sausages, vegetables, and beef. The beef was chewy and there were lots of sausages and vegetables.

いわしのしょうがじょうゆかけ、含め煮、いり大豆

本日のメニューは節分献立でした。日本では、節分に邪気退散の願いを込めて、鬼役の人を鬼に見立てて豆まきをしたり、恵方巻をその年の方位に向いて食べたり、豆を歳の数だけ食べ、イワシの頭を大豆の枝に刺して、悪霊退散の願いを込めて玄関に置いておくという風習があります。なお、ウィキペディアによると、各地の伝承としては、豆まきは必ずしも節分のみに行われたわけではなく、煤払いの日、大晦日、七日正月などに行う地域もあった。岩手県西根町や釜石市の一部では煤払いの日などにも豆まきが行われた。とあります。

いわしのしょうがじょうゆかけは脂がのっていて、身が柔らかく、炒り大豆は食感はカリッとしていて、大豆の味がしっかりあり、含め煮は野菜たっぷりで栄養満点でした。
福は内、鬼は外。

Sardines with ginger soy sauce,　boiled including, roasted soybeans

Today's menu was a Setsubun menu. In Japan, on Setsubun, people throw beans while imitating a demon, eat ehomaki while facing the direction of the year, eat the same number of beans as their age, and stick a sardine head on a soybean branch and leave it at the entrance of their house with the hope of driving away evil spirits. According to Wikipedia, local traditions include bean throwing, which was not necessarily only done on Setsubun, but also on soot-sweeping day, New Year's Eve, and the seventh day of the New Year. In Nishine Town and parts of Kamaishi City in Iwate Prefecture, bean throwing was also done on soot-sweeping day.

The sardines with ginger soy sauce were fatty and soft, the roasted soybeans were crispy and had a strong soybean flavor, and the　boiled including were full of vegetables and very nutritious.

私たちはどうやって生まれたのかを勉強しました。あかちゃんはお母さんのおなかの中で、どのように大きくなっていったのかをモデルを使って説明してもらいました。その後、おなかの赤ちゃんをさわらせてもらいました。
