生徒による毎週火曜日のスクールクリーン活動で、校舎周辺の清掃が行われています。しかし、ゴミの多さが課題となっており、ポイ捨てや汚損をしないという個々の意識の向上が求められますね！

The school premises are cleaned every Tuesday by students participating in the School Clean activities. Nevertheless, the volume of refuse is problematic, necessitating an enhancement in individual responsibility to prevent littering and defacement.

今日から期末テストが始まりました。 開始のチャイムが鳴ると、校舎内は一瞬にして静寂に包まれました。 廊下からそっと様子をうかがうと、粘り強く問題と向き合う生徒たちの姿が見られました。
【注意事項】 テスト中、友達同士で文房具などを貸し借りすることはできません。もし筆記用具などを忘れてしまった場合は、そのままにせず、必ず試験監督の先生に申し出てください。
また、明日の準備は今夜のうちに済ませ、万全の状態でテストに臨めるようにしましょう。 寒暖差の激しい季節ですので、体調管理にも気をつけてくださいね。

Final exams began today. As the starting chime rang, the school building was instantly wrapped in silence. Peeking quietly from the hallway, we could see students earnestly facing the exam questions.

昨日も、スクールクリーン(SC)活動を実施しました。
今回は、市岡元町公園と、国道43号線沿いの歩道の清掃を行いました。
生徒たちは、普段は手が届かない茂みの中のゴミまで探し出し、真剣に活動に取り組みました。

We also held a School Clean-up (SC) activity yesterday.
This time, we focused on cleaning Ichiokamotomachi Park and the sidewalk along National Route 43.
Our students sincerely dedicated themselves to the activity, even searching for trash deep inside the thickets that are usually out of reach.

生徒たちは、公園の遊具の下のゴミを拾ったり、時間いっぱい真剣に活動に取り組みました。
自分たちの手で地域をきれいにすることは、学校の誇りにもつながりますね。

11/5(水)に、港区の教職員が一堂に会する「港区人権教育実践交流会」が実施されました。
この交流会は、多岐にわたる人権課題に対し、各校の実践と知恵、工夫を共有し、明日からの指導に活かすための極めて重要な機会です。
本校からは、3年生の松井教諭と山本教諭が、3年生の取り組みである「戦争を知る〜あの日を知ることは、明日を守ること〜」について発表しました。
教職員は、他校の先進的な取り組みを熱心に学び、本校の人権教育をさらに深めていくための大きな糧としました。

The Minato Ward Human Rights Education Practice Exchange Meeting, bringing together educational staff from across Minato Ward, was held on Wednesday, November 5th.
This exchange meeting serves as an extremely important opportunity to share the practical efforts, knowledge, and ingenuity of each school in addressing various human rights issues, and to utilize these insights in future instruction.
From our school, Mr. Matsui and Mr. Yamamoto, 3rd-year teachers, gave a presentation on their 3rd-year initiative: "Learning about War: Knowing That Day Protects Tomorrow."
Our teaching staff enthusiastically learned from the advanced practices of other schools, gaining valuable knowledge that will significantly contribute to further deepening human rights education at our institution.

?11月1日(土)の15時より、市岡東中学校の体育館で、PTA3校合同人権講演会を行いました。これは毎年、波除小学校、南市岡小学校、市岡東中学校の3校のPTAが順番に担当して行っている人権講演会です。
今年は市岡東中学校のPTAさんが主催して、吉井奈々先生を関東からお招きして、人との付き合い方について講演いただきました。

今回は保護者向けなので主に親子での関わり方をお話していただき、質疑応答では職場や家族での悩みを相談する方もいて、参加者みんなで他者とのコミュニケーションの取り方を考えるよい機会になりました。

SNSでも活躍されてる先生です。とても素晴らしい先生を紹介してくださり、PTAのみなさん、ありがとうございました。

昨日の体育大会は、午後の部も熱気に包まれ、大いに盛り上がりました。
吹奏楽部の演奏に合わせ、部活動リレーに出場する選手の入場に始まり、ユニフォームや道具を身につけた各部活動の代表が、会場を沸かせました。それぞれの部活の個性があふれる、楽しいレースでした。
その後に続く各リレー種目でも、走者がチームでバトンをつなぎ、戦略とチームワークが光る、見応えのあるレース展開となりました。
競技を全て終えた後の閉会式では、生徒たちは皆、全力を出し切ったすがすがしい顔をしていました。勝ち負けに関わらず、仲間と協力し、互いをリスペクトし、目標に向かって一つになった達成感が、体育大会の成功を物語っていました。
この日は、多数の保護者の皆様、そしてご来賓の方々が、子どもたちへの温かい応援のために会場までお運びくださいました。皆様の温かいご声援が、生徒たちの大きなエネルギーとなりました。心より感謝申しあげます。

Yesterday's Sports Day was filled with excitement, and the afternoon session was no exception, bringing a surge of enthusiasm and energy.
The afternoon kicked off with the entrance of the athletes for the Club Activities Relay, accompanied by a lively performance from the brass band.
Representatives from each school club, wearing their uniforms or holding their equipment, electrified the venue. It was a delightful race that showcased the unique personality of every club.
In the subsequent various relay events, runners strategically passed the baton as a team, making for thrilling races that highlighted excellent teamwork and strategy.
At the closing ceremony, after all the events were finished, the students all had a refreshed and invigorated look on their faces, having given their absolute best. The sense of accomplishment—of cooperating with friends, respecting one another, and uniting towards a common goal, regardless of winning or losing—truly spoke to the success of the Sports Day.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the large number of parents and honored guests who came to the venue to offer their warm support for our children. Your enthusiastic cheers provided enormous energy to the students. Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts.

本日開催中の体育大会は、午前の部が無事に終了しました。
競技に出場した生徒、熱心に応援する生徒、そして大会運営を支える係の生徒、全員の真剣で清々しい姿勢がグラウンド全体に素晴らしい一体感を生み出しています。
特に午前の部の終盤は、会場の熱気が最高潮に。
1年生による「綱引き」では、力強いかけ声と地面を踏みしめる音が響きわたり、学年が一丸となって勝利を目指す姿に大きな拍手が送られました。そして、3年生の「全員リレー」では、さすがの迫力とスピードでバトンが繋がり、グランドを周回するたびに割れんばかりの歓声が上がり、大いに盛り上がりました。
この後 12時30分 より午後の部を開始いたします。

The morning session of the Sports Day, held today, has concluded successfully.
The earnest and refreshing attitude of all students—those competing in the events, those enthusiastically cheering, and those on the committees supporting the event's operation—is creating a wonderful sense of unity across the entire field.
The excitement reached its peak towards the end of the morning session!
During the 1st-year class event, "Tug-of-War," powerful cheers and the sound of feet stomping the ground resonated, and huge applause was given to the sight of the grade uniting to aim for victory. Following that, the 3rd-year class event, "All-Student Relay," showed impressive power and speed as the baton was passed, drawing thunderous cheers that erupted every time the runners circled the track, making it a huge success.
The afternoon session will begin at 12:30 PM.

本日の午後、生徒たちは明日の体育大会に向けて、会場設営や用具の準備に精力的に取り組みました。
しかしながら、2年生の一部のクラスが学級閉鎖のため、明日の体育大会は1・3年生のみでの実施となります。
2年生については、現時点では11/4日(火)に別途体育大会を実施する予定です。詳細につきましては、改めて連絡いたします。
1・3年生は予定通り実施しますので、生徒の皆さんは体調を整えて準備をお願いします。
2年生の保護者の皆様には、急な変更で大変ご迷惑をおかけしますが、ご理解とご協力をお願い申しあげます。

This afternoon, students enthusiastically worked on setting up the venue and preparing equipment for tomorrow's Sports Day.
However, due to a class closure (or class suspension) in some 2nd-year classes, tomorrow's Sports Day will be held only for 1st and 3rd-year students.
For the 2nd-year students, the Sports Day is currently scheduled to be held separately on Tuesday, November 4th. We will notify you of the details at a later date.
The event for the 1st and 3rd-year students will be held as planned, so we ask all students to take care of their physical condition and be prepared.
To the guardians of 2nd-year students, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this sudden change and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

去る10月18日(土)・19日(日)の二日間にわたり、大阪市中央公会堂にて「大阪市立中学校総合文化祭」が開催されました。
作品展示部門では、本校生徒の力作が多数展示され、来場者の注目を集めていました。日頃の学習や部活動の成果を多くの方にご覧いただく良い機会となりました。
また、茶道部は、会場内に設けられたお茶席でお点前を披露しました。 参加した私も、美味しいお茶とお菓子をいただきながら、日本の伝統文化に触れる貴重な体験をすることができました。

The Osaka Municipal Junior High School General Culture Festival was held over two days, Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th, at the Osaka Central Public Hall.
In the artwork exhibition division, many outstanding pieces by our school's students were displayed and drew the attention of visitors. It was a wonderful opportunity for many people to see the results of their daily studies and club activities.
Additionally, the Tea Ceremony Club performed the tea ceremony at a tea room set up within the venue. As one of the attendees, I also had the valuable experience of immersing myself in traditional Japanese culture while enjoying delicious tea and confections.

先週の水曜日と木曜日に実施された中間テスト。皆さん、全力を出し切れたでしょうか？
週が明け、そろそろ結果が返却され始めている頃かと思います。テストは、自分がどこまで理解できているかを確認する良い機会です。結果に一喜一憂するだけでなく、間違えたところをしっかり見直して、今後の学習に活かしていきましょう！

これは先週の中間テスト前の様子です。図書室では、放課後やテスト前を利用した学習支援を実施しています。元気アップコーディネーターが熱心に指導にあたり、わからない問題を質問したり、友達と教えあったりしながら、集中して学習に取り組む生徒たちの姿が見られました。「元気アップ事業」は、今後も継続して生徒たちの「わかる！」「できる！」を応援していきます！

This is what the library looked like last week before the mid-term exams. Learning support was provided during after-school hours and before the exams. The Genki-Up Coordinators were dedicatedly offering guidance, and students were observed focusing intently on their studies—asking questions about difficult problems and helping each other. The "Genki-Up Project" will continue to support students in achieving the feeling of "I get it!" and "I can do it!"

昨日の全校集会は、新体制となった各委員会代表にとって、初めての大きな舞台でした。
生徒会長、委員長たちは、全校生徒の前で委員会報告を行いました。話し始めると、彼らの報告は熱意に満ちており、その中にはSC(スクールクリーン)活動への参加を呼びかける熱心なメッセージも含まれていました。

Yesterday's all-school assembly was the first major stage for the representatives of the newly formed committees.
The student council president and the committee chairs presented their reports in front of the entire student body. Once they started speaking, their reports were full of enthusiasm, including an earnest message appealing for participation in the SC (School Clean) activities.

昨日午後、校区の小学6年生たちが中学校の部活動・授業体験のため、本校の門をくぐりました。
教室では、子どもたちは初めての教科に目を輝かせ、興味津々。グラウンドでは、中学生の先輩の指導を受けながら、汗を流し夢中でボールを追う姿が見られました。
体験を終え、帰り際の中学生たちの「来年、一緒に活動できるのを楽しみにしているよ！」という温かい声かけに、小学生たちは達成感に満ちた表情で応えていました。

Yesterday afternoon, sixth graders from our school district entered the junior high school grounds for a day of club and class experience.
In the classrooms, the children's eyes sparkled with curiosity as they encountered new subjects for the first time. On the field, they were seen sweating and chasing balls with single-minded focus, guided by the junior high student-mentors.
As the experience concluded, the junior high students warmly called out, "We look forward to having you join us next year!" The elementary students responded with faces full of accomplishment, a stark contrast to their initial apprehension.

文化活動発表会の余韻が冷めやらぬまま、次なる焦点は体育大会です。
今日から、運動場では体育大会に向けての練習が始まりました。

Even as the atmosphere from the Cultural Festival is still settling, attention has already shifted to the Sports Day.

昨日の全校集会は、体育館に凛とした緊張感が漂う中で始まりました。
まず、全校生徒の前に立ったのは前期生徒会執行部。彼女たちの挨拶には、やり遂げた清々しさと名残惜しさが入り混じり、深々としたお辞儀に一年間の重みが詰まっていました。
次に、後期生徒会執行部と学年代表の認証式。校長先生から認証状が手渡される瞬間は、まさに学校のバトンが渡された瞬間でした。
最後は、理科研究発表の表彰。賞状を受け取る生徒たちの顔には、地道な努力と発見の喜びが満ち溢れていました。

Yesterday's school assembly began in the gymnasium, filled with a solemn atmosphere of tension.
First to stand before the entire student body was the former Student Council Executive Committee. Their farewell address was a mix of the satisfaction of accomplishment and a sense of wistfulness, and their deep bow conveyed the weight of the past year.
Next was the Investiture Ceremony for the new Student Council Executive Committee and class representatives. The moment the principal handed over the certificates of appointment was literally the moment the school's baton was passed.

昨日は、午前中に1年生、午後に保護者を対象とした展示見学が開催されました。
会場には、各学年や教科、部活動で工夫を凝らした力作が所狭しと並び、多くの来場者で賑わいました。
また、明日の舞台発表に向けて、今日も朝早くから2年生が会場準備を手伝ってくれました。ありがとう！

Yesterday, we had an exhibition viewing. First-year students attended in the morning, and guardians in the afternoon.
The venue was filled with impressive and creative works from every grade, subject, and club, attracting a large number of visitors.
In preparation for tomorrow's stage performances, our second-year students came in bright and early again today to help set up the venue. Thank you so much!
