昨日の出来事です。教育実習生が中学校に来てから4日目。模擬授業を終えた実習生は緊張から解放され？ 担当教諭からもらった温かい言葉とアドバイスから、真剣な表情で学びました。この経験を糧に、さらに学びを深め、先生を目指してほしいと思います。

It was yesterday. It was the student teachers' fourth day at the junior high school. After their mock lessons, they were able to relax and seriously absorb the warm advice from their supervising teachers. I hope they use this experience to deepen their learning and continue on their path to becoming great teachers.

2学期が始まって、1・2年生は宿題テスト、3年生は第2回実力テストがありました。2学期は文化発表会や体育大会などの大きな行事があります。3年生は進路に向けても勝負の時期です。どの学年も今年の集大成ともいえる時期です。それぞれの持ち味を生かして、またみんなで一致団結して、頑張っていきましょう！

The second semester is here! Our first and second-year students have already tackled their homework tests, and our third-year students have taken on their second academic ability test. This semester is packed with big events like the Cultural Festival and Sports Day. For our third-year students, this is a decisive time for their future. For every grade, this semester is the culmination of all your hard work so far. So let's all make the most of our unique strengths and come together as one to give it our all!

令和6年の厚生労働省と警察庁の自殺統計によると、児童生徒の自殺者数は529人と過去最多となり、学生の自殺者数も434人と高止まりしています。特に、夏休みなどの長期休業の終了前後に、児童生徒の自殺が増加する傾向にあることが報告されています。

どのような事情があっても、子どもたちが自ら命を絶つようなことはあってはなりません。大阪市としても、この状況を極めて重大に受け止めています。

この状況を踏まえ、文部科学省より「長期休業明けに向けた自殺予防に係る児童生徒や学生、保護者等への文部科学大臣メッセージ」が示されました。大阪市立の小中学校では、このメッセージの趣旨に基づき、長期休業の前後に自殺を予防するための取り組みをさらに充実させていきます。

学校としても、不安や悩みを抱える子どもたちが孤立することのないよう、関係機関とも密に連携しながら、支援してまいります。

保護者の皆様におかれましては、このメッセージをご一読いただき、お子様の変化に気づき、声をかけるなど、温かく見守ってくださいますようお願いいたします。

教室のドアを開けると、焼けた肌の友達。「おはよう！」の声が飛び交います。夏休みの思い出を抱えたまま、2学期が始まりました。

I open the classroom door and see my friends with their tanned skin. "Good morning!" they call out. The second semester has begun, filled with memories from summer vacation.

楽器ケースから漂う独特の匂いと、様々な音色が混ざり合い、夏休み中の特別な時間を彩っています。

The unique scent wafting from the instrument cases, mixed with a variety of musical tones, colors the special time of summer vacation.

2学期から使えるように、勉強している横でも教員たちが保管庫のセッティングをしています。

So that the storage room can be used from the second semester, the teachers are setting it up even while the students are studying next to them.

教室で宿題を済ませた後に、来週から2学期が始まるので、配膳台などの掃除を手伝ってくれました。

After finishing their homework in the classroom, they helped clean the serving table and other areas because the second semester will start next week.

2年生を対象とした職場体験学習の実施にあたり、地域のみなさまや保護者のみなさまに貴重な体験の場を提供してくださる事業所様の受入れのお願いをしておりましたが、新たに生徒の受け入れをご快諾いただいた事業所様もございます。誠にありがとうございます。心より感謝申しあげます。

みなさまのご協力のおかげで、子どもたちにとって貴重な学びの機会を確保することができております。生徒たちは、社会の一員として働くことの意義を肌で感じ、将来の職業観を育むことができると期待しております。

1年生の教室には、夏休み終盤の静かな熱気が満ちています。1年生の小さな背中が、宿題のプリントや問題集に向き合っています。わからない問題があれば、そっと先生に尋ねたり、隣の友達と顔を見合わせたり。時折聞こえる鉛筆の音と、小さな笑い声が、やわらかな夏の光に溶けています。

The quiet warmth of late summer fills the first-grade classroom. Little first-graders' backs are hunched over homework packets and workbooks. If they don't understand a problem, they quietly ask the teacher or exchange glances with the friend next to them. The occasional sound of pencils scratching and small laughs melt into the gentle summer light.

夏休みもあと6日。3年生の教室で夏季学習会が行われています。残っている宿題を仕上げたり、チェックをしています。

There are only six days left of summer vacation. A summer study session is being held in the third-grade classroom. The students are finishing up and checking their remaining homework.
