3rd-Year Assembly: Cherishing the Final Month
This weekend, we held the 3rd-year assembly.
At the beginning, the class representative addressed the students. With private high school entrance exams now finished, some students are still waiting for results, some have received their results and are settling down, and others may still feel unsettled. The representative encouraged everyone: “First, acknowledge how hard you’ve worked to get this far. Your path after junior high will continue, so it’s okay to move forward at your own pace.” The message was to support one another and keep going.
Next, the grade-level lead teacher spoke about this month’s goal: “Oh no—we’re about to graduate!” As graduation approaches, there have been moments when some students’ focus on studying has dropped, or when comments and actions have lacked consideration for others. With that in mind, the teacher reaffirmed the meaning of the goal: “Let’s do what we need to do until the very end, and graduate with pride.” Rather than graduating as we are now, students were encouraged to tighten up both their daily conduct and their learning, and to continue showing a “true 3rd-year attitude” to younger students and to the teachers—right up to the last day.
It was also shared that this is a time when some students have already decided their next steps while others are still working toward them, and that consideration for those around us matters even more. Something that feels like a small joke to one person can be unpleasant for a classmate who is working very hard. The graduation ceremony is an important milestone not only for the 77th graduating class, but also for the teachers and younger students. To ensure everyone can celebrate comfortably and say “congratulations” to one another, students were encouraged to value the remaining days of school life.
Afterward, there were brief reports from various committees, and the assembly concluded. We will cherish each day until graduation and work together to finish this final month on a strong note.
