Our school holds a whole-school assembly every Tuesday.
This morning again began with many awards.
Achievements at the Osaka City Cultural Festival and the commendation for the Tea Ceremony Club from the Urasenke school were recognized, reflecting the steady effort students put in every day.
Applause honoring classmates’ hard work spread warmly across the school grounds.
The principal noted that there are 30 days of school remaining in the second term, and invited everyone to reflect on the pledge from the opening ceremony: “Treat yourself with care, and treat the person next to you with care.”
Let’s continue to notice one another and support one another.
We hope all Hokuryō students will act with kindness toward others.
Small, everyday actions together create a warm school climate.

Principal’s Address at the Whole-School Assembly (November 11, 2025)
Good morning.
We had so many awards today that I will keep this a short version.
It is now November, and influenza is spreading nationwide.
Our school also had class or grade closures over the past two weeks, but I feel the peak has passed.
Please continue handwashing and ventilation, and wear a mask when you feel it is necessary.
Take actions that protect yourself.
Today is November 11.
The closing ceremony is on December 23, so counting today there are exactly 30 school days left.
At the August 26 opening ceremony, I said the second term has a total of 120 days.
Time really flies.
That is why we must value each moment—this is a reminder to myself as well.
Let me restate the request I made at the start of the term.
“Treat yourself with care, and treat the person next to you with care.”
These two points.
Are you caring properly for your classmates and your club teammates?
Is there anyone who is feeling bad or having a hard time?
If you notice something, don’t leave it be—say a word to them.
Let your teachers know as well.
Do not look the other way—this is the kindness of Hokuryō.
Depending on how you look at it, there are “still 30 days” left in the second term.
On the day of the closing ceremony, I will ask you the same questions again:
“Did you take good care of yourself?
Did you take good care of the person next to you?”
Let’s build, together, a school that makes you want to come back tomorrow, so you can answer “Yes” with confidence.
Please take care of your health.
Let’s have a good day today.
I’m cheering for you.
