3rd-Year Assembly: “When it’s tough, don’t carry it alone.”
Today we held the 3rd-year assembly.
The teacher in charge shared a message that will stay with us as everyone prepares to step into a new environment.
The key points were simple but powerful:
“When it’s tough, don’t carry it alone,” and “You always have a place you can come back to.”
The teacher also spoke about a personal experience—moving from Wakayama to Osaka for high school with the dream of becoming “the best in Japan.”
It wasn’t easy. There were times of frustration and moments of wanting to give up.
But encouragement from friends back home and supportive words from teachers helped the teacher keep going.
That is why the teacher asked students to remember their Hokuryo friends when things feel overwhelming.
With friends, families, and teachers nearby, Hokuryo will always be a place you can come back to.
At the end, the teacher introduced words that a family member had cherished:
“To make your chosen path the right one,
live each day as if it were the last day of your life—move forward with no regrets.”
The “right answer” isn’t decided from the start.
It’s something we create through effort—turning our choices into something we can be proud of.
The teacher hoped this would be a chance for everyone to pause and reflect:
Are my actions and words truly leading me toward a choice I won’t regret?
Next, the 3rd-year class leader delivered a strong message as well:
With graduation approaching, the first priority is staying healthy—don’t catch a cold and keep your energy up.
For many, today’s event may be one of the last times we take on a school activity together, so let’s enjoy it fully—including cheering and support.
There is still time until the public high school entrance exams. Even if you’re unsure, don’t let your guard down—keep preparing.
Support from friends is a real source of strength. Let’s encourage one another and aim for one goal: “Everyone passes.”
For 1st- and 2nd-year students, today is the final day of the year-end exams.
Finish strong—do your best!
