Hokuryō Students Participate in the 21st “World Talk” (Multicultural Speech Contest)
Yesterday, September 6, the 21st “World Talk” (Multicultural Speech Contest) was held at Nakanoshima Integrated Elementary and Junior High School.
Middle school students in Osaka City who have come to Japan from abroad or have roots overseas delivered confident speeches in their mother tongues, sharing what they felt after arriving in Japan and how they work hard every day.
From Hokuryō Junior High School, two students from Nepal took part. Although neither delivered a speech, one served as an MC, introducing speakers from other schools and supporting the program throughout. The other joined Nepalese peers from other schools to perform a story-themed dance in beautiful traditional attire—it felt just like watching an Asian movie.
To our two students, to all participants, and to the teachers and staff who provided guidance and support: thank you for your hard work.
Hokuryō Junior High School will continue to value multicultural coexistence and international understanding.
