Hokuryō Brass Band Ignites the “Yume-Kita Music Fest” at the Osaka-Kansai Expo
On September 7, our brass band took the stage outside the Expo’s Healthcare Pavilion for the “Yume-Kita Music Fest.” Under a blazing 37°C sun, the ensemble delivered a vibrant show—tight rhythm, crisp tone, and choreography that swept their instruments left and right in time with the beat—turning the plaza into a live soundtrack of late-summer Osaka.
The program opened with a special collaboration alongside professional players from the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra (Brass Quintet). Breathing the same air as top-tier musicians lifted our students’ focus and sound: cleaner attacks, richer blend, bolder phrasing. That momentum carried straight into the full-band set, where the entire club performed three pieces with dynamic staging and confident showmanship.
From first note to final chord, the audience answered with thunderous applause. The music, the motion, and the Expo atmosphere fused into a performance that felt bigger than any single stage.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Kita Ward Mayor and festival organizers for providing such a remarkable platform, to our club advisors for unwavering, expert guidance, and to all families and guardians whose support keeps our sound strong. Experiences like this don’t just make memories—they power what comes next.
