Sports Day Will Be Held Today!

Today is Monday, November 2. Although the weather is unfortunately rainy, with light rain falling this morning, we have carefully checked the condition of the school grounds and decided to go ahead with today's Sports Day.

【IMPORTANT: A Reminder for All Students】

Due to the rain, students may get wet and feel cold during the event.

Please make sure to bring a towel and your regular school uniform to change into!

Also, there will be no school lunch today, so please remember to bring your own lunch (bento)!

【Today's Schedule and Competition Arrangements】

• Parent/guardian reception opens at 8:45 a.m.

• Entry begins at 9:00 a.m.

• Parts of the opening ceremony will be omitted. Only the athletes' oath will take place.

• Please note that the school band will not perform during the opening ceremony.

Depending on the weather and the condition of the school grounds, the order of events may be changed.

Rain can make the ground soft and slippery, increasing the risk of students slipping or falling, especially during races involving turns on the track.

For this reason, student safety will always be our highest priority. We will carefully monitor the condition of the grounds and adjust the order and timing of events as necessary.

If the rain becomes heavier or weather and ground conditions worsen during Sports Day, we may need to end the event early without completing all the scheduled competitions.

We understand that some parents and guardians may be disappointed if they are unable to watch events they have been looking forward to. However, we sincerely ask for your understanding, as these decisions will be made to protect the safety of our students.

Despite the repeated postponements, our students have continued to make the most of their limited preparation time, working together with their classmates and supporting one another. Today, they finally have the opportunity to show the results of their hard work.

Above all, the safety, health, and well-being of every student are what matter most. We will pay close attention to students who may become cold or feel unwell and will never ask them to push themselves beyond their limits.

We sincerely thank all parents and guardians for their patience, understanding, and willingness to adjust their schedules despite the repeated changes to the event date.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our neighbors and members of the local community for their continued understanding throughout the practice period, including the sounds of drums, announcements, and students cheering.
