举办合唱比赛
今天，我们举办了合唱比赛。上午由一年级和二年级、下午由三年级的同学们依次登台，展示了各班反复练习的歌声。
每个班级都全力以赴，会场从一开始就气氛热烈。台上的演唱者和台下的听众都投入了全部热情，让人深深感受到，这份热度正是北棱中学校的优良传统。
各年级公布最优秀奖和优秀奖时，会场响起了震耳欲聋的欢呼声。获奖的喜悦自不必说，同学们之间互相称赞、彼此肯定的氛围也随处可见。
每个年级比赛结束后，校长都进行了点评。在上次全校集会上布置的任务——“让副校长感动落泪”——圆满完成。校长还提到，每个班级都把一个个不同的声音叠加在一起，完成了优美的合唱。
珍惜自己的声音，同时倾听身边同学的声音，也珍惜它，共同完成一首歌。合唱正是我们在全校集会上一直强调的"珍惜自己 珍惜身边的人"的具体体现。今天的舞台上，清晰地展现了这样的身影。

今天在百忙之中前来观看孩子们的表现，衷心感谢。来自观众席的温暖目光和掌声，一定给了孩子们莫大的鼓励。
明天，一、二年级的最优秀奖班级，以及三年级的最优秀奖、优秀奖班级，将在全校同学面前再次演唱。最后，将由管乐部的演奏为整场活动画上圆满的句号。

Our Choral Competition
Today we held our choral competition. Year 7 and Year 8 took to the stage in the morning, followed by Year 9 in the afternoon, with each class performing the songs they had been rehearsing together for weeks.
Every class gave it everything, and the hall was buzzing from the very first song. Performers and audience alike threw themselves into the day, and it was a vivid reminder that this energy is one of Hokuryō’s proudest traditions.
When the Best Performance and Excellence Awards were announced for each year group, the cheers were thunderous. Alongside the joy of the winners, there was a clear sense of pupils recognising and applauding one another’s efforts.
At the end of each year group’s session, the Headteacher gave feedback. The mission set at our last whole-school assembly — “bring the Deputy Head to tears” — was successfully accomplished. The Headteacher also noted how every class had woven together many different individual voices into something truly beautiful.
Valuing your own voice, listening carefully to the voice of the person beside you, valuing theirs too, and creating one song together: choral singing is perhaps the clearest expression of the message we share at every assembly — “Value yourself, value those around you.” That spirit was plain to see on stage today.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedules to come and support the pupils today. Your warm attention and applause from the audience will have meant a great deal to them.
Tomorrow, the Best Performance classes from Year 7 and Year 8, together with the Best Performance and Excellence Award classes from Year 9, will perform once more in front of the whole school. The event will then come to a grand finale with a performance by our Wind Band.
Parents and families of the classes and club members concerned are warmly invited to come along and enjoy their big moment.
