All-School Assembly Report: Recognition for the Tennis Club / “Effort Will Surely Bear Fruit”
Today’s all-school assembly began with the recognition of our Tennis Club. Stepping forward to receive a certificate can feel a little shy, but it was a joyful moment when daily practice was visibly rewarded.
In the principal’s address, we heard this message:
“Having club efforts recognized in the form of an award is truly encouraging. Yet even without an award, each of your efforts will surely be recognized somewhere, someday. This applies not only to school clubs but also to those working hard in soccer or baseball club teams, dance, and many other fields. Effort will bear fruit one day. Let’s keep going.”
After that, both the Student Guidance Director and the Student Council advisor shared important reminders. Two weeks of the second term have just passed. The real work begins now—keep your goals in sight and move forward step by step.

All-School Assembly — Principal’s Remarks (September 8, 2025)
• Because the awards took quite some time, I’ll keep my remarks short.
• Today’s assembly began with recognition. Having club efforts acknowledged in this way is a great encouragement. Even so, there will surely come a day when each person’s efforts are recognized, whether or not an award is given.
• For example, our Brass Band: the Tenjin Festival, the “Bright Society” Campaign, Sukkyanen Takigawa, the Block 2 Music Festival, and the Expo the day before yesterday. With every performance, more people come up to talk with me. One local resident said, “I’ve become a real Hokuryō fan.” The ward mayor also regularly praises Hokuryō’s performances.
• The same goes for everyone striving outside school clubs—in soccer or baseball club teams, dance, and other arenas. Effort will bear fruit one day. Keep going, Hokuryō students; we’re cheering for you.
• Two weeks into the second term, minds and bodies are settling back into school mode. Many school events are coming up. Focus on each event and on your daily lessons. Let’s make it a strong week.
