Talk Title: The Courage to Dive into What You Love — A Guitar Journey Sparked by a Single Video
It has been two weeks since the practicum began.
The speaker opened by saying they feel that more students are gradually getting to know them.
From All-In on Club Activities
In junior high and high school, the speaker belonged to athletic clubs.
In high school the club was particularly demanding, and they would often fall asleep as soon as they got home.
During breaks they would casually watch YouTube and came across “I tried playing ___” videos.
One day, a song from a familiar anime happened to play, and the performer looked vibrant and full of life.
Taking the First Step
Before the university entrance ceremony, the speaker told their parents, “I’m going to the music store.”
Their parents were surprised, but after a careful explanation, they understood.
The speaker bought a guitar then and there.
Looking back, even they are surprised by their own initiative, but they are glad they were honest about what they wanted to do.
Now, On Stage
The speaker is now a third-year university student and performs at campus festivals and other events.
They also admitted they wish they had jumped into that world even earlier.
To All 2nd Graders
The message to you is: become someone who can dive into what you like and what interests you.
There will be obstacles standing in the way of your dreams.
Even so, take that step and keep trying.
Reflections
The candid, down-to-earth story was compelling.
It gently highlighted the value of moving from noticing to taking action, and gave our 2nd graders an encouraging push forward.
