今天的营养午餐(鸡肉玉米炖菜)
今天的营养午餐是玉米甜味轻柔散开的「鸡肉玉米炖菜」。

今天的小主角是「河内晚柑」。
虽然名字听起来陌生,但它外观像葡萄柚,是个头大、皮色黄的柑橘。没有葡萄柚那种明显的苦味,特征是清爽的酸甜风味。
原产于日本熊本县河内町(现熊本市)发现的品种,因发现地「河内」与收获季节较晚的「晚生」柑橘特性,被命名为「河内晚柑」。
如今主要产地是爱媛县和熊本县,恰好初夏到盛夏正是它的当季时节。也被称为「日本版葡萄柚」,是颇为讲究的季节风味。
今天班级的样子嘛——唯一不太来劲的是3年5班。
3年5班的教室,是普通教室中位于本校最南端的位置,可以说是校舍里的「特等席」。
附近就是造币局和泉布观,窗外历史风景与绿意交织,环境实在得天独厚。

Today's School Lunch (Chicken and Corn Stew)
Today's school lunch was Chicken and Corn Stew, where the gentle sweetness of corn spreads softly through every spoonful.
A creamy, warm dish like this brings the whole menu together with a comforting touch.
Here is today's menu.

The "stew" served as both main dish and soup, paired with crisp "cucumber salad", and for dessert, a citrus fruit that feels just right for early summer: "Kawachi Bankan".
Together with the "brown sugar bread" as the main starch and milk on the side, today's tray turned into a lively mix of colors and textures.
The quiet star of today's lunch was the "Kawachi Bankan".
The name may sound unfamiliar, but it is a large yellow citrus that looks much like a grapefruit. Unlike grapefruit, however, the bitterness is mild, and the flavor is refreshingly sweet-tart.
It was originally discovered in Kawachi-machi, Kumamoto Prefecture (now part of Kumamoto City). The name comes from the place where it was found, "Kawachi", combined with "bankan", meaning a late-ripening citrus.
Today the main growing regions are Ehime and Kumamoto Prefectures, and right about now—from early to mid-summer—is its peak season. Sometimes called "Japan's own grapefruit", it is a small seasonal luxury.
As for today's classrooms—the only one that seemed a little quiet was Class 3-5.
Class 3-5's room sits at the southernmost point among the regular classrooms—a kind of "premium seat" within the school building.
Just outside are the Mint Bureau and the Senpukan, with history and greenery filling the view from the windows. It is a truly fortunate setting.
Finally, our thanks go to the kitchen staff and serving staff who prepared today's wonderful lunch.
