3rd Grade Assembly Report — Questions That Turn Walls into Growth
Introduction
We held the 3rd grade assembly over the weekend.
The second term has begun, and once the upcoming three-day weekend ends, we will already be in mid-September.
Yesterday we conducted a proficiency test.
Some students have started the term strongly, while others feel they still have room to improve.
We believe the efforts you make from here can close that gap.
Today’s Theme
Today’s talk, led by a veteran social studies teacher, focused on “Questions That Turn Walls into Growth.”
Students prepared their pens and took part in a short self-reflection activity.
The Four Questions
□ What problems or worries are you facing right now?
□ What kinds of anxiety or fear lie behind them?
□ What kind of person will you become once you overcome them?
□ How can you make yourself feel more excited and motivated?
By engaging with these questions, you put your situation into words and design your own next step.
Ground Rules
1. Every answer is correct.
2. It is also correct if you do not yet have an answer.
3. All answers will be accepted as they are.
Students who finished writing shared one of their answers with the person next to them.
Hearing each other’s thoughts broadened perspectives and sparked ideas for action.
What We Noticed
A quick look across the pages showed many entries related to study and future plans, very much in line with being 3rd graders.
By putting worries and hesitations into words, many students found it easier to see what to do next.
Toward Your Post-Graduation Path
The deadline for submitting the post-graduation preference survey is approaching.
Share the form with your family and discuss your future together.
Your family and the adults around you will be there to support you.
Take the first step to consult early, and plan the information and procedures you will need.
Reflections on the Talk
The veteran social studies teacher clearly modeled how to use questions to look inward and move forward.
The practical message to “put worries into words, share them, and turn them into small actions” resonated with students.
Before the next assembly, we hope each of you will turn at least one of today’s answers into a concrete step.
Message from the Class 3-1 Committee Chair
COVID-19 cases have been on the rise recently.
Please keep up with handwashing, ventilation, and daily health checks, and do not push yourself when deciding whether to come to school.
Let’s manage our health carefully so everyone can enjoy next week’s Expo field trip safely.
