[Grade 8] Work-Experience Pre-Visit: Cold-Weather Clothing Guidance
Grade 8 students will visit their assigned workplaces on Friday, January 23, for a pre-visit greeting and briefing in preparation for the work-experience program.
As very cold weather is expected, students may face increased risks of feeling unwell or encountering safety concerns during travel and while waiting outdoors.
To prioritize students’ health and safety, the school will adopt a flexible approach to cold-weather clothing for that day only (January 23).
Students may continue to wear the school-approved outerwear as usual (the designated winter jacket or a club windbreaker).
In addition, if needed, students may wear their own warm outerwear (e.g., a coat, down jacket, or other thick jacket) over the school uniform.
Students who feel they do not need additional outerwear do not have to wear it; please make the best decision based on comfort and safety.
For safety, we will also remind students to avoid any way of wearing clothing that obstructs vision or breathing, or could increase the risk of tripping or getting caught.
We appreciate your continued support in helping students manage their health and stay safe.
