大阪市学生理科研究发表会 科学部进行了发表
今天,第78届大阪市中学生理科研究发表会演讲部举行,本校科学部发表了两项研究。会场聚集了市内各校的学生,开始前就弥漫着一种安静的紧张感。
题目是「カタバミを赤くしているのは…?犯人は〇〇だ!(酢浆草为什么会变红?犯人就是〇〇!)」和「効率の良い階段の上り方(高效率的上楼梯方法)」。两项研究都始于上学路上和校舍里的一句「这是为什么呢?」。
酢浆草的研究,关注的是植物为了保护自己免受炎热和强光等环境压力而合成的色素——花青素。利用它在酸性下呈红色、碱性下呈绿色的性质,学生把红色的酢浆草分别置于氨气、石灰水等环境中。结果,只有接触氨气的那一片接近了绿色。结论是:「很想说犯人就是花青素,但在科学中,真相并不总是只有一个。」不把话说满——这一点最有理科的味道。
楼梯的研究,比较了一步一阶、隔一阶、之字形行走、南蛮步行四种方式。测量脉搏差和上楼时间等数据,每人各做两次,每次实验之间都充分休息后再进行。结果显示,隔一阶虽然最快,但脉搏差也最大,因此得出「比起上得快,不让自己疲劳地上楼效率更高」的结论。
学生们轮流操作幻灯片,发表得落落大方。最后一张幻灯片映出时,会场响起了热烈的掌声。「酢浆草为什么会变红?」一项获得了优良奖。

Osaka City Science Research Presentation Day: Our Science Club Takes the Floor
Today the presentation section of the 78th Osaka City Junior High School Science Research Presentation Day was held, and our Science Club presented two pieces of research. With pupils from schools across the city filling the hall, a quiet tension hung in the air even before proceedings began.
The two titles were 「カタバミを赤くしているのは…?犯人は〇〇だ!」(Katabami o akaku shite iru no wa…? Hannin wa 〇〇 da! — "What is turning the wood sorrel red? The culprit is 〇〇!") and 「効率の良い階段の上り方」(Kōritsu no yoi kaidan no noborikata — "The most efficient way to climb stairs"). Both began with a simple "but why?" noticed on the way to school or somewhere in the school building.
The wood sorrel study focused on anthocyanin, a pigment plants produce to protect themselves from environmental stress such as heat and strong light. Since it turns red in acidic conditions and green in alkaline ones, the pupils exposed red wood sorrel leaves to ammonia gas, limewater and other substances. Only the leaf exposed to the gas shifted towards green. Their conclusion: "We would love to say the culprit is anthocyanin — but in science, the truth is not always just one thing." That refusal to overstate was, to our minds, the most scientific part of the whole study.
The stairs study compared four methods: one step at a time, taking two steps at a time, zig-zag walking and namba walking. The pupils measured pulse difference and climbing time, repeated each method twice per person, and took a proper rest between every trial. Taking two steps at a time proved fastest, but produced the largest change in pulse — leading to the conclusion that climbing without tiring yourself is more efficient than climbing quickly.
Taking turns at the slides, they presented with real confidence, and warm applause filled the hall as the final slide appeared. "What is turning the wood sorrel red?" was awarded a Merit Prize.
Both projects will be shown again at the School Arts and Culture Festival on Saturday 24 October, as a report display and a presentation.
