Yume-Kita Expo 2025 + SDGs Global Styling Fashion Show: Our Students Shine as Models & Designers!
On Saturday, September 20, the “Yume-Kita Expo 2025 + SDGs Global Styling Fashion Show” was held at the Umeda Sky Building, 40th floor — Floating Garden Observatory. Many of our students took the stage as models and designers.
This project was carried out with full support from the Kita Ward Office, Ueda College of Fashion, and KINJI, with preparations underway since early August. After costume remakes, fittings, walking lessons, and rehearsals, the day finally reached its grand finale.
On the runway, our student models looked completely different from their everyday school selves. With confident walks, striking poses, and sharp eye contact, they captivated the audience like seasoned pros. Backstage, the design team made final adjustments, finishing each look with an SDGs mindset—from upcycling to styling that encourages wearing garments longer.
For the finale, students from Ōyodo Junior High and Tenma Junior High joined ours to walk the runway together. The formation that filled the stage had professional-level presence, drawing a huge round of applause.
At the awards, both of our participating teams received wonderful prizes. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported, organised, and coached the event.
