期末考试第一天 ―— 七年级学生的第一次定期考试
今天起，本校的期末考试正式开始了。对七年级的学生来说，这是他们升入初中后的第一次定期考试。在与平时小测验完全不同的紧张氛围中，早晨就能看到一些神情略显严肃的学生。
第一节是社会课。各个教室里，回响着的只有自动铅笔和铅笔书写的声音。学生们面对试卷，一道一道认真思考——那份安静的专注，即使站在走廊上也能真切感受到。这是每位学生沉着冷静、把平日积累全部发挥出来的时刻。
本校自上一学年起，即使在考试日，也安排学生用过午餐后再放学。考试中充分动脑之后，好好吃饭、补充能量再回家——这也是我们对学生身体状况的关心。
考试还将持续几天。也恳请各位家长在家中给予温暖的守护，让孩子晚上能早些休息。沉着冷静，相信自己的力量。北稜中学的同学们，坚持到最后！

Day One of the End-of-Term Exams — A First for Our Year 7 Students
Our end-of-term exams began today. For our Year 7 students, this is their very first set of periodic exams since starting junior high school. In an atmosphere quite unlike the short class quizzes they are used to, a few students arrived this morning looking a little tense.
The first paper was Social Studies. In every classroom, the only sound was that of pencils and mechanical pencils at work. Heads bent over the question papers, students worked through each problem with care — a quiet concentration you could feel even from the corridor. It was a time for each of them to stay calm and give everything they had built up so far.
Since last school year, we have kept the practice of having students eat lunch before heading home, even on exam days. After working their minds hard during the tests, it matters that they refuel properly before leaving — a small but important part of looking after their health and wellbeing.
The exams will continue over the coming days. We would be grateful if families could watch over their children warmly at home and help them get an early night. Stay calm, and trust in your own abilities. Keep going right to the end, Team Hokuryō!
