Today’s menu was:
・Deep-fried Gyoza
・Chinese-style Miso Soup (thickened)
・Lotus Root with Chinese Dressing
・Sweet Potato Bread
・Milk
Today featured a Chinese-style lineup.
With cooler mornings and evenings, the lightly thickened miso soup was just right—comforting, warm, and soothing.
The lotus root dish was steamed-and-baked in a commercial combi oven.
A carefully balanced dressing—sugar, salt, rice vinegar, and light soy sauce—was simmered, then finished off-heat with sesame oil and poured over the lotus root when portioning.
The aroma and flavor came together beautifully, making it a clear crowd-pleaser.
We stopped by the Student Council’s lunchtime broadcast today.
The two new officers are already getting the hang of things, and their rundown was smooth.
With BTS playing in the background, it made for a cheerful lunch break.
