雨后清晨的问候活动与全校集会 表彰与校长讲话
雨后的清晨，空气微凉，十分舒爽，同学们陆续来到学校。在校门口，新老学生会成员和生活委员站成一排，向每一位同学说一声"早上好"。一早就收到这样温暖的问候，谢谢大家。
这天的全校集会内容非常丰富。首先，介绍了正在我校进行现场实习的渡边老师，同学们报以热烈的掌声。
接下来是表彰环节。男子、女子网球部的团体赛，科学部的研究成果，以及英语背诵比赛，从体育到研究再到英语，北棱中学校的同学们在各个领域都展现了自己的实力。面对站在台上的同学们，全校师生送上了热烈的掌声。
校长以"这份凉爽让人害怕"为题进行了讲话。约30年前的一个秋天，校长在天王寺遇到了一位正在准备露宿的人，他说的话成为这次讲话的起点。校长介绍了在同一座大阪城市里，有人正为了在寒冬中保护生命而努力；即使是同一阵凉风，每个人的感受也可能完全不同。不经意的一句话里，也可能流露出自己没有察觉的成见。即便如此，主动打招呼依然很重要，同时也希望大家先用一句"原来是这样啊"，接住对方的话。
"珍惜自己，珍惜身边的人。"这次讲话中，包含着希望大家成为能够想象对方心情、倾听对方声音的人的心愿。详细内容请参阅下方的PDF。

10月，面向合唱比赛和运动会的准备工作也将全面展开。在这个渐渐凉爽的季节里，让我们和伙伴们一起，用心完成每一项活动吧。

Morning Greetings After the Rain and a Whole-School Assembly: Awards and the Headteacher's Talk
The rain had just cleared, and pupils arrived at school in the cool, fresh morning air. At the entrance, members of the old and new Student Councils and the Lifestyle Committee stood in a line, greeting everyone with a cheerful "Good morning". Thank you for such a warm start to the day.
The day's whole-school assembly had plenty on the programme. First, we introduced Watanabe-sensei, who is with us on a teaching placement, and the pupils gave a warm round of applause.
Next came the awards. The boys' and girls' tennis teams for their team competitions, the Science Club for its research, and pupils from the English Recitation Contest: from sport to research to English, Hokuryō pupils have been making their mark in all sorts of places. The whole school applauded warmly as they stood on stage.
The headteacher's talk was titled "This Coolness Frightens Me". It began with words spoken some thirty years ago, on an autumn day in Tennōji, by a man preparing to sleep outdoors. The headteacher spoke about people in our own city of Osaka who are working to protect lives through the cold of winter, and about how the very same cool breeze can feel completely different from one person to the next. Even a casual remark can reveal assumptions we haven't noticed in ourselves. Reaching out to others still matters, he said, but he asked pupils to first take in what the other person says, simply accepting it with "Oh, I see".
"Value yourself, and value the person beside you." The talk carried the hope that pupils will become people who can imagine how others feel and truly listen to what they have to say. The full text is available in the PDF below.
