在灾害发生时,不确定的信息和谣言会给人们带来二次伤害;

Whole-School Assembly via Broadcast
This morning, we were met with strong winds and bitterly cold temperatures.
The temperature is expected to drop even further toward the evening.
Please make sure to dress warmly for your commute to and from school—with coats, scarves, gloves, and other winter wear—to protect yourself from the cold.
For the 3rd-year students, the crucial season for deciding their future paths has now begun.
In light of this, our school has decided to hold whole-school assemblies via internal broadcast from this week onward.
In today’s broadcast assembly, the principal spoke about the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of January 17, 1995, and the dangers of rumors and the spread of misleading information on the internet.
Drawing on his own experience of the 1995 earthquake, the principal explained that
during disasters, uncertain information and rumors can cause deep secondary harm to people.
In today’s world, filming and posting scenes of bullying or violence online can create what is known as a “digital tattoo”—
images and videos that remain on the internet and continue to be viewed over and over,
causing ongoing pain for the victim and placing those who film and spread such content on the side of the aggressor.
If you witness bullying or violence in front of you, the right response is not to point your smartphone at the scene,
but to contact an adult—such as a teacher—and report what is happening.
That, the principal stressed, is what it truly means to “help” someone.
There were also announcements related to daily life from the Student Life Committee and the Student Council Executive Board.
With very cold weather expected to continue throughout this week,
we ask each student to take thorough care of their health and manage their condition carefully so that they can stay well during school life.
